Process Engineer

Job description

JOB PURPOSE: Process control of manufacturing lines, including the inputs such as materials, equipment, method and the training of people for safe and high yields operation while meeting design parameters of the product. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ME, ChE, IE, AE, Materials, EE), Physics MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 2 to 15 years ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications): - Experience with plastics extrusion - Manufacturing Experience - Six-sigma and Lean experience - Specific accomplishments such as scrap reduction, throughput improvements, project management, Six-Sigma projects, Lean support and process stabilization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Process Engineer is responsible for direct support of various manufacturing processes in the Carrollton Cable facility. The job functions include troubleshooting process related problems; development of new products and processes; design tooling, machines and components to improve existing processes; improve processes by performing trials and creating operating guidelines to document changes.
