Description The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester (URMC) School of Medicine & Dentistry, in Rochester, NY, is currently recruiting for a surgical pathologist; we are interested in candidates with a focus on Breast/GYN. Successful applicants must be board-eligible in anatomic pathology by the American Board of Pathology and be eligible for a medical license in the State of New York. The Department provides a very wide range of services, currently accessioning over 75,000 surgical/biopsy cases per year. More than 35 anatomic pathologists participate in a fully subspecialized sign out model. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in a program in applied, translational, or basic research. The Medical Center has a highly collegial environment. There are multiple opportunities for collaborative research and for the development of clinical initiatives through interactions with Medical Center faculty.
