Lead Mechanical Specialist - Angleton, TX

Job description

OVERVIEW: S&B is currently seeking a Lead Mechanical Specialist with responsibility to independently perform Mechanical Design activities for all phases of general equipment designs for a project of moderate size and complexity (e.g. continuing services project involving a single engineering discipline). Must be fully competent in performing all conventional aspects of Mechanical Design and application of independent judgement for the evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation of standard design methods and procedures. Responsibilities include generating scope estimate packages, priced equipment lists, work-hour estimates/staffing plans, project schedule details for mechanical engineering scope deliverables, and periodic completion progressing against a project schedule and budget. Assignments have clear and specific objectives and may require investigation of a limited number of variables. The position may require periodic evaluation by a hub department manager or director of mechanical engineering. The position does require participation in performance reviews of engineering staff.
