Scheme Process Operator

Job description

About the role As a Scheme Process Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Water & Wastewater schemes for the town of Onslow. You’ll be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and optimising the seawater desalination plant, Borefield operations which includes electrified, diesel & Hybrid power generation to operate and control associated water supply sources & treatment processes. You will also play a vital role in keeping your community’s water and wastewater systems running smoothly, inspecting pipelines and repairing essential water and sewer services. Working both independently and as part of a skilled team, you’ll oversee daily plant and scheme operations. Conduct water quality testing, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards. This hands-on role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable water & wastewater services to the community.
