Job description

Cleans and maintains floors, carpets and hard surfaces in buildings at Boys Town. SCHEDULE: Residential Treatment Center (14092 Boys Town Hospital Rd) Monday-Friday 6a-2:30p MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: - Maintains floor surfaces and stairwells, including but not limited to the following: - Sweeps, mops, buffs, polishes, scrubs, strips, and refinishes hard-surface floors using heavy equipment - Vacuums, spot cleans, and extracts carpeted floor surfaces - May clean and extract upholstered surfaces and furniture. - Performs routine operational maintenance of cleaning equipment per manufacturer specifications - Performs routine and maintenance cleaning processes in areas assigned (i.e. classroom, gym, locker room auditorium, office, cafeteria, etc) in accordance with all regulatory standards (CMS, Joint Commission, etc), which may include but not limited to: general cleaning and disinfection, hard surface maintenance, carpet and upholstery extraction. - Utilizes appropriate PPE based on task and precautions. - Operates a truck-mounted unit while cleaning or restoring surfaces and upholstery; troubleshoots repair of floor care equipment as needed. - Orients and trains student worke...
