JOB SUMMARY: The Payroll Specialist is an accounting role reporting directly to the Marriott Australia Director of National Payroll. This position is responsible for the end-to-end, timely processing of payroll, including employee benefits such as superannuation and leave, payment obligations for participating properties, and month-end activities. The role also supports Director of National Payroll in delivering high service levels to all properties and acts as a leader in their absence or when the Assistant Payroll Manager or Director of National Payroll is unavailable. SCOPE / BUSINESS CONTEXT / CANDIDATE PROFILE: Expected Contributions - primary job responsibilities, however not limited to Key Responsibilities: - Process end-to-end payroll on a fortnightly basis. - Maintain employee payroll records, including salary changes, allowances, and deductions - Ensure compliance with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, tax laws, and superannuation requirements - Ensure accurate processing of terminations, redundancies, and other related payments. - Calculate and process leave entitlements (annual, personal, long service leave) - Process new starters, terminations, and final payments...
