The Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS is a world-leading and internationally connected research center for computer assistance in medicine. These promise privacy-preserving collaboration across hospitals but challenge current notions of transparency, auditability, and certification. While Model Cards and Data Cards are emerging as best practices, they are insufficient for complex, distributed AI services that evolve over time across multiple sites.
