JOB DESCRIPTION This position is responsible for the safe operation of a tug boat at our sand plant location. Essential Functions - Responsible for operating a tug boat as utilized in mining environment - Perform daily inspection of vehicle and work area - Perform repairs and routine maintenance on plant and mobile equipment - Observe visual and auditory signals during vehicle operation - All other duties as assigned Competencies: Work Environment This job operates 100% of the time in a surface mine setting. This role frequently operates heavy equipment. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
