Overview Steampunk is seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support the administration and ongoing compliance of our Industrial Security Program in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). This role works closely with the Facility Security Officer (FSO), internal stakeholders, and government partners to ensure the effective execution of personnel security, clearance processing, and security compliance activities in support of federal contracts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of exercising discretion while managing sensitive information. This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced security environment. This position operates during core business hours at the Tysons Corner, Virginia office.
