Job Title Thermal-Fluids/Cryogenic Design Engineer Job Description: In this role as a Thermal-Fluids/Cryogenic Design Engineer you will focus primarily on cryogenic application of thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and structural mechanics to the development and maintenance of superconducting MRI magnet products and technologies. The position provides the successful candidate with an immediate opportunity to be involved with technology that helps save lives, improve patient outcomes, and reduce the cost of medicine around the world. Your Role: - Lead end-to-end design activities including requirements management, materials selection, FMEA, tolerance analysis, and full design documentation. - Design, analyze, and test cryogenic system components (vessels, cryostats, piping, tubing, vacuum and refrigeration systems) to ensure performance and reliability. - Develop and validate thermal models to define heat paths and deliver designs that meet strict heat budget requirements. - Execute comprehensive design verification activities, including analysis, similarity assessments, and testing, while resolving field-related performance issues. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary...
