Job description

As a CNC Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating metalworking machines to shape and form steel into parts used in the manufacture of heavy equipment. To excel in this role, a commitment to ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently and safely is required. Location: 141 Consolidated Drive, Paris, ON Dedicated Day Shift: 6:00am - 2;30pm, Monday - Friday Job Duties: - Read and interpret blueprint specifications to set-up brake presses of various sizes and thicknesses of materials to make precision bends - Set up the brake press to produce quality parts and maintain press daily to keep it clean and in good working condition - Follow safety protocols and wear prescribed personal protective equipment to prevent injuries - Use various measuring instruments (e.g., Vernier, protractor, measuring tape, and micrometer) to ensure parts of defect-free, correctly shaped, and meet required dimensions and specifications - Safely operate jib cranes to load and unload material from brake presses - Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines such as shears, power presses, saws, plate rolls, drills, brakes, slitters, punch presses, comp...
