Manages and coordinates a specialty program or outpatient office. Provides clinical expertise, coordination of care, and education for patients, physicians, and hospital-based case managers in order to enhance and facilitate patient care. Manages assigned clinic personnel, and assesses staffing needs, other responsibilities include evaluating staff member performance, coordinating equipment maintenance, utilizing appropriate health care resources when needed, assessing staff member continuing education needs, delivering direct patient care, and observing departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Experience 2 years clinical experience as a licensed nurse - Clinical Practice and Care Management - Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrates changing data. - Oversees and performs selected nursing duties, including documenting patient history, vital signs, immunizations and allergies. Prepares, stocks and cleans exam room and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment. - Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content.
