The Department of Molecular Biosciences (MBS) at the University of South Florida invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Instruction. This is a non-tenure earning appointment for the Fall 2026 semester to begin August 7, 2026, and conclude December 19, 2026. There is no research component associated. Hiring salary is $25,000 for the Fall 2026 semester. The Department of Molecular Biosciences is seeking an Instructor to manage our upper division laboratory courses, specifically Cell Biology (10 sections of PCB3023L – Cell Biology laboratory) and General Genetics (14 sections of PCB3063L – General Genetics Laboratory), and teach a large enrollment lower-division lecture course (BSC2010 – Cellular Processes). We expect to hire someone with broad training and an engaging personality in supporting laboratory and classroom experiences for undergraduates. The Department typically offers ~24 sections of these upper division laboratory courses in the Fall semester, taught by graduate teaching assistants.
