Maintenance Technician III (MT III) Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician III is a multi‑skilled technician responsible for troubleshooting complex automation issues, supporting reliability improvements, and assisting during major downtime events. This role supports complex repairs, helps implement engineering changes, provides support to other technicians, and partners with cross‑functional teams to improve system performance, safety, and equipment uptime. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Diagnose and repair automation line failures, including controls faults, sensor or encoder issues, device network problems, drive faults, and system performance concerns. · Perform advanced troubleshooting using electrical prints, device manuals, fault histories, trending, and structured methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, fishbone, fault tree). · Support PLC/HMI level triage (alarm interpretation, I/O checks, verifying interlocks).
