Full Time (80 hours/biweekly) Shift: Days (7:00am- 3:30pm): Monday - Friday: General Summary: Performs a variety of functions related to implanted cardiac device management in the ambulatory and/or inpatient care settings. These electronic cardiac devices may include (but are not limited to) pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, loop recorders and wearable monitors used for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. This is an entry level position requiring supervision by the Arrhythmia Tech II, Lead Arrhythmia Tech and/or Cardiac Device Nurse. Essential Functions: - Performs in-clinic device checks with supervision. Identifies type of cardiac device by manufacturer. Assist in the interrogates and verification of device parameters and settings. Identifies rhythms, pacing and generator status of device. Takes appropriate and immediate action when abnormal results are identified. - Assists with patient remote monitoring that may include scheduling, downloading and analysis of clinical device transmissions, processing reports as well as assigning appropriate charges under supervision. - Performs post implant device site checks.
