Description St. Croix Health is currently seeking a casual Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team! This position will work one shift every two weeks and fill in as needed. The Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for performing comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis of the testing, and working under the general supervision of the Medical Director. The Technologist performs tests and procedures that test the brain waves and functions on sleep patients to perform studies and determine why they are having trouble sleeping through the night. They will review patient medical history and document their sleep issues, and keep records of patient progress. They will also explain to patients the nature of procedures that will be performed on them and prepare them for the procedures. During studies, equipment may be attached to their bodies and make sure the patient is comfortable before sleeping. This position is responsible for scoring all sleep studies once completed.
