Certified Nursing Assistant - Ambulatory Surgery Center Description: Certified Nursing Assistant to work in an ambulatory surgical center setting. Qualifications: Current Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification required. BLS required: Minimum of two years patient care experience required. Occupational Exposure: Category I exposure to bloodborne pathogens, frequent exposure to chemical hazards and may encounter radiation hazards. Responsibilities: - Observes and reports patient’s status and needs. - Answers call lights and attends to/reports patient needs. - Transfers, moves and repositions patients, as needed. - Monitors and records patient’s vital signs like heart rate, pulse temperature and blood pressure, as needed. - Assists physicians and nurses during examination and treatment of the patient. - Makes occupied and unoccupied beds. - Cleaning patient areas, including mopping, wiping and disinfecting. - Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements. - Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards. - Respects and regar...
