Overview Mechanical Engineer (E30-2026-24743): Bowhead seeks to network with a Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. ***This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract*** Responsibilities: Job duties to include but not limited to: - Experience managing models inputs that trace requirements and specifications to the design of the mechanical system. - Experience defining and evaluating risks at the system and sub-system level and verifying the mechanical system is engineered to meet performance requirements - Experience overseeing the design of the mechanical system and developing the system architecture. - Experience managing the planning and development of mechanical validation plans and testing plans with priorities on key system requirements. - Experience managing the development of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for the mechanical hardware design and ensuring there is traceability to the Directed Energy Weapons (DEWS) Reference Architecture (RA). - Experience managing the development of Internal Requirements Specification (IRSs) for the mechanic...
