Position Title: Technician – Unit Support Department: Adult Medical Unit B4 Location: Methodist Hospital Shift: Part-Time – Weekends Only Position Overview: The Technician-Unit Support plays a crucial role in providing both direct patient care and clerical support within the Adult Medical Unit. Under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse, the technician assists with patient care activities, maintains a clean and safe environment, and supports unit operations. This role also involves providing information and assistance to physicians, patients, families, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth unit functioning. Key Responsibilities: Assist with direct patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Nurse. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff. Provide information, directions, and support to physicians, patients, families, vendors, and visitors. Schedule tests and procedures for patients, and support patient flow. Maintain accurate patient records, sign patients in and out of the unit, and document activities. Order, receive, and deliver equipment and supplies needed for patient care.
