Job DetailsJob Location: Los Angeles, CA 90013Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $17.80 - $18.51 HourlyGENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Laundry Room Attendant /Homeless Community in-reach staff is a new position that The Midnight Mission deems vital to providing a safe, clean, secure, trauma-free resource for people who are experiencing homelessness on the streets of skid-row. The laundry room will be in use 8 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direct supervision of the Security Supervisor, the laundry room attendant will provide a safe, clean, secure trauma-free environment and perform various laundry duties within The Midnight Mission Laundry Room. Collect mesh bags of dirty laundry, Ensure guests have properly counted and documented all items, Wash/dry clothing, Properly use and maintain laundry room equipment, Provide friendly welcoming customer service to guests, Ensure laundry room is not being used for inappropriate activities such as drug use or selling/exchanging of drugs, smoking, loitering, or other unsuitable activities.
