We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bromsgrove to assist with the appointment of a Technical Accountant, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £22.37 - £29.81 per hour Summary: The Technical Accountant will support the Chief Accountant in maintaining key accounting records, managing treasury and capital functions, and preparing final accounts for both Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council. The role involves cash-flow management, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements. Responsibilities: Qualification: Essentials : - Support preparation of final accounts, including capital and treasury elements and Prudential Indicators - Manage treasury function, including borrowing, investments, and liaison with brokers - Maintain and update cash-flow forecasts on a daily basis - Prepare treasury management budgets and accounts - Assist in capital budget coordination and financial planning - Produce financial/statistical returns for central government - Fully or part qualified CCAB (or equivalent) or...
