Overview General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)Resurrection Medical Center – Chicago, ILPrime HealthcareFull-TimePosition SummaryResurrection Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our General Surgery team. The APP will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with attending surgeons, residents, and multidisciplinary providers. This role covers inpatient and outpatient settings and includes surgical assisting, perioperative management, consults, and follow-up care. Responsibilities: Clinical Care• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to general surgery patients.• Conduct inpatient rounds, perform focused history and physical examinations, document progress notes, and develop care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.• Perform bedside procedures within scope of practice (e.g., suture removal, drain management, wound care).• Assist surgeons in the operating room as needed, including first assisting.• Manage patient flow in surgical clinics, including evaluation, follow-up, test review, and coordination of care.• R...
