A Nuclear Medicine Technologist I is under general direction to perform technical procedures, providing pertinent anatomical and functional data for interpretation by a radiologist. Core Competencies: - Uses ALARA and safety principle at all times. - Displays flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, politeness and accountability when dealing with customers. - Provides healthcare services in own job category to all age groups. - Demonstrates competence in interpersonal relationships to all age groups. - Completes all assigned procedures in a timely manner and uses time between procedures to department advantage assisting others, clerical duties, stocking, transporting, etc - Utilizes Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS. - Answers telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians or hospital personnel in other area of the hospital while maintaining good phone etiquette - Maintains a safe working environment: Keeps work area clean and free of hazards.
