Overview Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Full-Time Director of Surgical Services for our Surgery Department. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. Responsibilities: The Surgical Services Department includes the Operating Rooms, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Outpatient Surgery. Our Perioperative Department provides General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Neurosurgery, Endoscopy/GI, Urology, Vascular, and Thoracic services. - Will maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, Title XXII, CMS, and current state and federal regulations. - Creates and drives a culture and environment of superior quality and patient safety, while maintaining regulatory compliance at the highest standards. Establish the overall direction for perioperative services. Assures that the patient care units maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and other standards regularly. - Ensures financial viability and stewardship through revenue enhancement and cost management systems.
