Dental Lab Technician-Sr

Job description

Under limited supervision, responsible for fabrication and repair of dental/fixed removable prostheses, filling casts, vacuum forming or laminating, establishing initial trims and other functions. May lead or mentor lower level team members. EDUCATION: High school Diploma or GED is required. PREFERRED: Eligible for certification as a Certified Dental Technician by the National Board of Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. - Reads specifications or prescriptions, examines models and impressions to determine the design of dental products to be constructed. - Fabricates, alters, and repairs dental devices such as dentures, crowns, bridges, inlays, and appliances for straightening teeth. - Provides guidance, instruction, and feedback when appropriate to undergraduate, graduate students, and faculty members. - Assists in the development of teaching aids for pre/post-doctoral students. - Performs all other duties as assigned. - Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. - Knowledge of all safety procedures and guidelines that pertain to a dental laboratory. - Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail. - Organizational and time management...
