Summary: The GSRP Associate Teacher is responsible for working as a team member in providing a quality educational program for preschool children by supporting the classroom teacher in planning, assessing, and instructing students. The position includes assisting the classroom teacher in maintaining required records to ensure grant compliance and meet licensing guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist in the preparation and implementation of lesson plans using approved curriculum, and work collaboratively and communicate plans with teaching team. Follow the daily schedule as outlined in the curriculum and GSRP guidelines. Assist with the screening and ongoing assessment of children and provide age-appropriate instructional support. Meet with the Early Childhood Specialist as needed to ensure quality programming and maintain a high-level CLASS rating. Attend staff meetings, workshops, and other scheduled program activities as requested.
