Job description
Responsible for performing diagnostic imaging exams in either an inpatient and/or outpatient setting in accordance with established protocols for positioning, image quality, radiation safety, and MRI safety. The inpatient setting may also include assignment to specialty areas requiring a radiologic technologist, such as the ED, OR, or Fluoroscopy. Utilizes a variety of specialized equipment to produce diagnostic images, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Provide basic medical assistance to physician/providers and nurses by providing basic preparation of patients according to area specific Policy and Procedure including but not limited to vital signs. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skills Work requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Work required the level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology. ARRT is required (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
