GFL Environmental is looking for newly licensed AZ Line Haul Drivers to participate in our Driver Development Training Program and support our solid waste line of business. Job Description: Driver Development Training Program: - One on one training with a skilled driver coach - Eight-weeks of paid, industry specific training in Ayr, ON - Training focuses on backing skills, local/city/highway driving, safe loading and delivering techniques - Company driver position following successful completion of training Key Responsibilities: - Daily runs to Michigan - Transport solid waste from the transfer stations to various landfills - Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical items and safety issues to ensure safe operation and public safety - Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, equipment damage and property damage when applicable - Document and log driving/break periods in Kilometers on Daily Trip Report and E-logs in accordance with DOT & MTO Regulations - Retain copies of fuel, and border toll receipts, as well as pick-up and delivery tickets to complete daily paperwork - Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation of vehicles, carriage of goods, Hours of S...
