Position: Optical Network Mgmt Support Student Number of Position(s): 2 Duration: 4 Months Date: September – December 2026 Location: Hybrid in Ottawa, CA (3 Days in Office) Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate for a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field with an accredited school in Canada. The Network Infrastructure Optics NMS Technical Support team provides front-line support for NOKIA's Fiber Transmission Network Management platform serving telecom carriers and MSO high-speed transport infrastructure. Working directly with customers in addition to investigative work behind the scenes using NOKIA's labs and available operational and functional knowledge base. As part of the team, you will: - Contribute to server and virtual machine deployments. - Testbed design and setup using a combination of simulators and real equipment. - Prepare demos and proof of concept configurations. - Gain exposure to end-to-end optical networking architectures. - Learn how networks are managed in terms of operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning. - Knowledge of Server Hardware, HP Unix, and...
