Patient Care Assistant - Med/Surg

Job description

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities. Work Schedule: 0.6 FTE, evening (3p-11:30pm) and every other weekend rotation Required Qualifications: Must have one of the following: High school diploma or equivalent HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
