Ultrasound Sonographer

Job description

Autonomously performs complex diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for adult and pediatric patients, under the supervision of physicians for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Knowledgeable in Abdomen (including transplanted organs), OB/GYN, Small Parts, Vascular (including grafts, incompetency exams, mappings), and Pediatric ultrasound required. Takes initiative to confirm the imaging orders by reviewing patient history and other clinical data. Utilizes advanced knowledge to perform diagnostic procedures/exams (in/outpatient, portable, OR, PACU, Shear Wave Elastography (SWE), Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound (CEUS), and acquiring/rendering 3D images). Assists radiologist to record and process anatomical, pathological, and physiological sonographic data and images. Exercises independent judgment by providing a preliminary diagnosis. Expected to prepare, inject, and document CEUS when indicated. Assists physicians with lesion localization and probe placement in Ablation procedures. Accurately creates an anatomical map of lymph nodes/nodules in the neck (including prior alcohol ablation sites) for the ENT surgeon to utilize during surgery. Utilize PACS to store/retrieve...
