Position Purpose: The School Counselor works under the supervision of the Head of School and is responsible for providing social-emotional support services to students to help them achieve academic success. Job Duties: Upholds CECs beliefs found on the CEC website. Provides limited, temporary social-emotional support services to students. Provides referrals to outside community groups and services when needed. Provides crisis intervention for students and families as emergencies arise. Provides individual and group check-ins and supports for students with emotional regulation, peer relationships, time management, organizational skills, communication, conflict resolution, and decision making skills.
