Examines and diagnoses patients and develops treatment plans. Performs testing, referral to physicians as needed, writes prescriptions, and performs administrative support functions as needed. Essential Functions: (50%) (50%) Education : - Patient Care - Monitors and evaluates the psychiatric condition of each patient and in collaboration with the psychiatrist and other disciplines and standards of care, or by applying appropriate protocols, makes decisions regarding treatment changes. Refers patient to specialized services as needed. Determines and assesses the mental health status of patients by reviewing records and obtaining comprehensive behavioral health histories.
