MO-SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles Worker Type: Regular Job Summary: Under direct supervision of a pharmacist and according to standard procedures, transcribes, prepares medication orders, assists in dispensing and delivery and ensures proper storage and security of medications. This position is responsible for non-sterile and /or sterile compounding, utilizing pharmacy automation systems, and accurately maintaining required documentation. Also serves as a resource by training others in technical skills and participating in audit processes to ensure compliance and quality standards. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Assists in the preparation of medication orders that may include transcription, workflow management, automation utilization, and medication readiness for checking, dispensing, and delivery. Conducts non-sterile and/or sterile compounding of medications. - Distributes medications to designated areas and returns unused, discontinued, or damaged doses to the pharmacy.
