Job Purpose & Position Overview Provides direct patient care to a service population of approximately 10,000 people, using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. The Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours per day/seven days a week and has a Physician on duty at all times. This is Tribal Direct hire for permanent full-time Nurses for the Emergency Room. Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Demonstrates the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s Human Resources core mission, vision, and values. - Assesses patients presenting for emergency care and triages based on history, physical assessment and chief complaint. - Provides comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and/or critically ill patients. - Administers therapeutic measure as prescribed by the physician to include, but not limited to, medication administration, intravenous fluids, blood transfusions, treatment and maintains those measures taken which are ongoing in nature. - Operates and monitors specialized medical equipment. - Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure optimal patient...
