Job description

Provide technical consulting assistance, training, guidance and recommendations to Central Office and District procurement personnel for procurement operations. Assist and advise in the direction and management of procurement programs to include commodities, non-professional services and capital outlay construction services. Provide written reports of compliance with recommendations and effectiveness of delegated procurement authority. Assist as a procurement advisor for all procurement issues, including application of law, policies, procedures and delegated authority. Assess procurement training needs and develop and deliver training. Research and provide written and verbal analysis of procurement best practices. How you will contribute: - Analysis and Assessments of Procurement Procedures: Provide in-depth analysis and impact assessments of procurement procedures to improve and enhance statewide procedures that have a direct influence on fiscal positions of VDOT.
