Lead Space Survivability/Radiation Effects Engineer Company: The Boeing Company We are seeking a Lead Space Survivability/Radiation Effects Engineer to support natural and man-made radiation environment-related tasks at the piecepart, unit, and system levels through all satellite program phases in El Segundo, California. The successful candidate will interface with all technical disciplines in a team environment to trade factors such as survivability, cost, weight, and technical risk in arriving at the final design. Primary Responsibilities: Lead total ionizing dose (TID) and single event effects (SEE) part and technology characterization and qualification efforts, including in-house laser SEE testing as well as heavy-ion and proton beam testing at national laboratory facilities. Interface with program office representatives and system engineers representing other disciplines to ensure that radiation-related concerns are adequately addressed. Develop and flow appropriate unit and system level requirements in early program stages.
