Job description
As the Industrial Painter, you are responsible for the preparation and maintenance of paint coatings, spray booth equipment, and systems, as well as for the cleaning, sanding, priming, and painting of custom machined part surfaces. The Industrial Painter will ensure the proper adhesion of both paint and coatings that are designed to withstand the rugged and challenging terrain of the forestry industry. Location: 141 Consolidated Drive, Paris, ON Dedicated Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm - 1:00am, Monday – Thursday Shift Premium: $3.00 per hour for afternoons Job Duties: - Use spray equipment to apply paint and other materials to parts - Clean and prep surfaces using processes such as sanding, scraping and grinding - Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, or sandblasters - Follow safety protocols and wear the prescribed personal protective equipment to prevent injuries - Pour paint into spray guns and adjust nozzles and paint mixtures for proper paint flow and coating thickness - Monitor and identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes - Sand surfaces between coats of paint or primer to remove flaws and e...
