Federal Work Study Student, Community Engagement & Education - ( 2602893 ) Description Minimum Qualifications: UTMB Student at least half time, any school/education program Job Summary: This position will be an on-campus position or via UTMB satellite clinics. Job Duties: - Position requirements will vary based on location, time of year: - Facilitate sessions of community engagement and clinical education programs including hospital-based programs for first- and fourth-year medical students - Evaluate reported social determinants of health for inpatient clients and provide appropriate resources. - Participating in the development of educational training materials for community engagement and clinical education activities - Use EPIC EMR to check-in patients, extract data from clinical charts, and direct patient contact. - Collect and analyze data for quality improvement purposes. - Produce and present scholarly papers related to departmental efforts. - Supervise first year medical students in clinical settings. - Assist with pre- clinic huddles to ensure appropriate patient care and interprofessional communication. - Support curriculum development for educational initiatives. - Serv...
