Wind Deputy Site Manager (SPC Skookumchuck Wind Facility) JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting in managing a Southern Power wind facility. This will be a NERC facility, and it will operate and maintain wind turbines, roads, and an O&M building in Rainier, WA. This candidate will lead third-party wind contractors, work to establish new operating procedures, and will work closely with the rest of Southern Power to communicate and manage the site operations. Skookumchuck consists of 38 wind turbines producing 136.8 megawatts. manufactured by Vestas. JOB REQUIREMENTS: - High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in a related field strongly preferred - 5 – 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in wind energy - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and database applications - Success in instilling a culture of Safety Excellence and foundations of Human Performance - Ability to climb turbine towers up to 110 meters in height approximately 5-10 times per week, or as needed - Understand and comply with the ANSI Fall Protection Standards - Ability to work in adverse weather conditions - Ability to drive in extreme weather conditions, fog, snow, m...
