Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Materials Specialist I (Parts Mover) in our Torrance, CA location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment. Skills: - Move parts in timely manner to next operation - Expedite work orders thru manufacturing processes to achieve monthly targets - Follow up on critical orders on a daily basis - Work with planner, procurement, product engineer and quality engineer to move parts on hold - Updates MRP system upon moving parts to next operation - Help production to perform 100% sort or rework if needed - Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers - Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions.
