Description SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBLITIES: The childcare assistant will provide direct childcare services to children of patients. Assists the Childcare Supervisor. Also does related work as required. SCHEDULE: Monday, Wednesday through Saturday 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM EXAMPLES OF WORK: - Assists the Childcare Supervisor in maintaining an attractive, clean and safe childcare environment. - Assists the Childcare Supervisor in creating and leading stimulating activities based on the individual needs of the children in attendance. - Assist with record keeping. - Relate to the children and their parents with warmth and respect. - Fill in for the Childcare Supervisor in her/his absence. - Attend all meetings, workshops, retreats as required. Requirements: - Be 18 or more years of age and possess a high school education or equivalency. - Have one or more years of experience working with children of a variety of ages, cultures and ethnic backgrounds. - Pass the DSHS & Washington State Patrol background check. - Have or obtain within 60 days of employment, HIV/AIDS, First Aid and CPR training. - Must not have committed or been convicted of child abuse or any crime involving physical harm to anothe...
