Assistant Teaching Professor – Music Therapy College of Visual and Performing Arts University of Massachusetts Dartmouth: The College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Music Therapy to lead the development of music therapy. This is a non-tenure-track nine-month renewable position beginning on September 1, 2026. The College seeks a music therapist and educator who is passionate and experienced with program development, community engagement, and interdisciplinary study. The ideal candidate has strong music skills, familiarity with accreditation and licensure, and a willingness to work with a variety of institutional stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to direct the development of a bachelor’s degree in music therapy, recruit new students, as well as teach appropriate undergraduate and graduate offerings in related interdisciplinary programs (education, psychology, health sciences, and nursing).
