Job Summary The Design Engineer position for Nicor Gas assists in the planning, design, and development of technical projects for gas distribution and transmission infrastructure. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and sound decision maker. Natural Gas is an essential part of America’s Energy mix and a trusted energy source for more than 70 million homes and businesses. This position is an exciting opportunity for persons who enjoy the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities. Please note, this position is posted as a job family and may be filled at either the Engineer, I (Level 3), Engineer, II (Level 4) or Engineer, III (Level 5). People who demonstrate advanced skills in terms of work experience, education and certifications may be eligible for the advanced grade.
