Job description

Amentum is seeking a Plumber/Pipefitter Journeyman for the North of Las Vegas, NV area. Purpose and Scope: - Provide plumbing and Liquid Fuels Maintenance for facilities and infrastructure. - Assembles, installs, troubleshoots, and repairs pipes, fittings and fixtures of, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes. - Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units and dishwashers. - Repairs and maintains all plumbing by replacing components in leaky faucets, mixing valves, check valves and both manual and automatic flushometers. - Able to mend interior/exterior pipes, such as PVC, PEX, copper, asbestos cement, cast iron, galvanized and black iron by methods such as soldering, appropriate clamps, threaded, push to connect and mechanical joint fittings. - Capable of opening clogged drains using various methods such as plungers, manual and power snake machines. - Maintains all plumbing and pipe fitting systems and associated components shall be operational according to the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC). - Perform a variety of maintenance of repair of equipment and buildings...
