St, Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time Medical Scribe to work at Scott Orthopedic . Performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care. - Answer telephones and take appropriate messages among other clerical functions. - Make appointments and schedule referrals to specialists. - Document the physician dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies. - Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician - Document the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the physician. - Document the correct time of patient care related activities, including physician to physician communication, family communication and re-examination of the patient. - Proper knowledge of medical terminology. - Assist with FMLA paperwork. - Respond to tasks in a timely manner.
