Shift: ALL Security Clearance: No Clearance: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE (Job Description) The Welders are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality and in a professional manner. POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training/Experience): - High School diploma or equivalent education. - Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least two years being NAVSEA-related experience. - Possesses standard tools for a welder. - Able to work different shifts. - Must have good knowledge of ship board spaces. - Must have knowledge of weld symbols and general DWGs. - Must pass FCAW, 2G, 3G & 4G 71T1 .045 wire. - Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 11018 “stick”. - Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 309 “stick”. - Must pass GMAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series. - Must pass GTAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series. - Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F RN67(CUNI). - Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F 316 (Stainless Steel). - Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F 70S2 (Carbon Steel). - Must pass GTAW, 6G RN625 on Carbon Steel pipe (open root). - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. - Must be able to safely hook up and operate a torch. - Must have knowledge of WAFs - Must be able to f...
