Drawing Operator II Location: El Paso, Texas,: Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift) Pay Rate: $53144-$54,080 Job Overview: The Drawing Operator II is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring multiwire drawing machines used to produce copper wire from feeder stock. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining product quality, safety standards, and proper machine operation. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate multiwire drawing machines to produce various sizes of copper wire. Run correct wire sizes and lengths according to production orders. Load and unload bobbins and reels, including matched sets and matched lengths. Perform pay-off and take-up reel changes. Perform hot-welds and cold-welds on feeder stock to maintain continuous production. Set up and adjust dies to achieve proper wire reduction. Measure wire and monitor machine controls to ensure quality and production efficiency. Maintain proper inventory of Work-in-Progress (WIP) tags . Inspect wire for defects and troubleshoot breakouts or feeder stock issues. Perform gear changes, traverse adjustments, and annealer settings as required.
