Psych Registered Nurse Department: Correctional: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Laramie County Detention Center: Compensation: $43.00 / hour: Description: We are looking for an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurses to provide care to the detention adult & juvenile patient population. Key Responsibilities: Our Psych Nurse will be expected to pass medications to juveniles in the juvie facility as well as seeing them for sick call, intake assessments, and addressing any medical concerns they may have. Psych Nurses will start and end their shifts at the juvie facility. Once they have finished their morning tasks at Juvie, they will go to the adult facility (11 miles away – the county provides rides both ways). There with the adults, the Nurses will round on all patients in the mental health units and act as Liaison between the county mental health staff and our mental health staff, they will do discharge planning and monthly mental health CQIs.
