Restaurant Server

Job description

The duties and responsibilities for the Server include, but are not limited to the following: · Greet and interact with all guests in a courteous manner and maintain visibility in your section during functions. · Organize and set tables, stations, buffets and carts for service according to the company standards and function specific requirements (includes: clean linen, china, silver and glassware, etc.). · Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner · Communicate special requests or additional meal requirements to the supervisor / kitchen. · Use proper serving techniques during food service execution and ensure courses are properly cleared in a timely manner. · Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. · Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the function room and service area. · Ensure storage and service area/wait station is clean and maintained throughout shift. · Perform side-work, opening and closing duties as required to ensure all areas are clean and orderly at end of shift.
